Why do your high bay lights need reflectors?

Reflectors or diffusers are often used in traditional high bay lights, since these lamps have a 360-degree beam angle, they require a reflector to redirect the light to the desired illuminated area. Reflectors are also used to reduce lighting glare.

There are many types of LED high bay lights, and reflectors are often used with UFO LED bay lights and bell LED bay lights.

For LED high bay lights, since they already have an optical lens to adjust the beam angle (mainly 60°/90°/120°), the reflector is not a necessary part for them.
